Shopping in Negril

Negril is home to a number of shopping malls and well-known souvenir stores for all your reggae needs. We’ve put together this guide to help you make decisions around what and where to buy.

Times Square Shopping Mall

Negril has shopping malls similar to the ones found in Ocho Rios or Montego Bay. Known as the Times Square Shopping Mall, it’s located on Norman Manley Boulevard and within close proximity to Sandy Haven Resort. The mall contains several souvenir stores and five duty-free shops and the Courtyard Café is a good place to stop for a Red Stripe beer and other refreshments.

Times Square Shopping Mall offers a nice collection of watches and jewelry including Chaumet, Patek Philippe, Mikimoto and Chopard. There’s also plenty of accessories and gift stores if you plan to bring some souvenirs home such as pens, crafts, books, cigarettes, perfumes, cigars, dresses, liquor, and more.

Cigar World is the first and only cigar store in Negril and is also located in the Times Square Mall, stocked with plenty of Cuban and Habanos cigars. We recommend buying cigarettes/cigars from this store rather than from street vendors.

If you need to draw funds there’s an ATM by Scotia Bank which is recommended by many of the local tour guides.

Negril Craft Market

Norman Manley Boulevard is also home to the Negril Crafts Market and offers a wide range of souvenirs. However, you can get most of these souvenirs everywhere in Negril.

The craft market contains Jewelry, woodcarving, beads etc. You can choose to barter with the vendors in the crafts market if you fancy bagging a few bargains.

Jammrock Collections

Jammrock Collections is a hidden gem found next door to Times Square Shopping Mall. Known for its friendly and welcoming owners, Jammrock Collections is the ideal stop for Reggae souvenirs, rum cream shots, Tortuga Rum cakes and much more. Prices are more reasonable here compared with the vendors on the beach and you’re guaranteed excellent service.

Hi-Lo Food Stores

If you need to buy groceries such as bottled water or snacks, Hi-low Food stores on Sunshine Plaza should take care of your day to day needs. You will find local and international produce and the team are known for their strong customer service.

We recommend grabbing bottled water here to take with you on your travels. As of January 2019, they no longer offer plastic bags so make sure to bring your own!
